Minimum C average; DACC District 507 resident or resident of the seven-county Indiana area; must show financial need; must be accepted into the nursing program; must be full-time; funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other expenses.

The scholarship may be renewable for the spring semester as long as the recipient is still enrolled in the DACC Nursing Program and meets other criteria.  Amount and number of scholarships is based on funds available. 

 

Health Care student pursuing an associates degree; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Adult student enrolled at DACC to launch a new career or enhance current career path. Special consideration given to students with GEDs, high school graduates who did not go on to college, college dropouts, foreign born U.S. residents and returning veterans; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Enrolled in a transfer degree program and plans to attend a 4-year college to obtain a bachelor degree. Maintain a minimum B average. Preference given to a first generation college student. Must be full-time. Award amount will be split between fall and spring semesters.

As long as the donor has funded this scholarship this scholarship is renewable for the next academic year as long as student reapplies for the next academic year and still meets criteria. Limited to 2 consecutive years.

The AJ and Marcie Wright Scholarship has been established for a student in any area of study; recipient must maintain a minimum B average. Funds may be used for tuition, fees , books and supplies.

Minimum B avg.; studying Agriculture and/or Business; must be full-time; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average; incoming or returning DACC student; continuing education to a four-year degree; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Minimum C average; enrolled in Engeneering or any course of study related to the construction industry; enrolled full- or part-time; resident of District 507 or Indiana seven county area (Warren, Fountain, Vermillion, Benton, Montgomery, Parke, Tippecanoe); demonstrate financial need. Award will renew for second year student must reapply for the following academic year and maintain a C average; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Graduating Senior of Georgetown Ridge-Farm High School; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Graduating Senior of Salt Fork High School; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum 2.5 GPA.. Must be a Veteran or a dependent of a Veteran. Dependent is defined as spouse, child or step-child. Must be enrolled at DACC and have completed at least one semester of college work; full- or part-time; funds may be used for tuition, books and fees

Recipent is a graduating high school student residing in Vermilion County, Illinois; must show scholastic achievement, community service and finanical need; Prioity will be given to Farm Bureau members and dependents; full- or part-time student at DACC. Funds may be used towards tuition and fees.

Scholarship is renewable as long as student reapplies for the next academic year and still meets criteria. Limited to 2 consecutive years.


 

Student graduating from DACC in the spring and transferring to a 4-year institution to continue their studies with a 3.5 out of a 4.0 GPA. The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: potential for leadership, good citizenship, desire to succeed, consideration of others, ability to get along with others and financial need; funds may be used towards tuition fees and books.

Students receiving the Andy and Lou Ann Young Scholarship must submit proof of registration at the 4-year college including their student ID number and the address of where the check should be mailed to before the scholarship award can be issued.

Minimum B average; must be full-time; DACC District #507 resident; one award to a student entering the nursing program and one award to a student who has successully completed the Level I program; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Must be a member of the DACC Cheerleading squad; Minimum B average; must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fee and books

Member of the DACC baseball team; from Vermilion County, Illinois and enrolled full-time.

The Ann Lichtmann Charitable Trust Scholarship pays for full tuition and fees.  The dollar amount shown is only an estimate.

Minimum B average; studying engineering or manufacturing engineering technology: must be full-time; funds may be used for tuition, books and fees

Recipient must be a resident of Vermilion County, Illinois and maintain a minimum B average.  First preference give to a Schlarman High School athlete, second preference to any high school athlete.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Nursing student accepted into DACC's nursing program and maintain a minimum B GPA.  Full-time or part-time enrollment.  The amount of each scholarship will be $850.00 per student per year.  The number of awards and amounts may vary depending on the availability of funds and at the discretion of the donor.

The B D Patel Sunrise Hospitality Inc. Scholarship was established for a student studying Culinary, Business, Hospitality and Restaurant Management: Student must maintain an minimum B average; Student may be full or part-time; Funds may be used toward tuition, fees and books.

First preference is a employee or dependent of Sunrise Hospitality Inc.
Second preference any student.

Student must be studying Marketing/ Tourism; Preference given to those who exhibit involvement in community service and volunteer activities.; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Barbara Bennett Family Scholarship is established for an incoming or retuning DACC student who has enrolled in classes after at least 5 year in the workforce or home while not taking any classes at any higher education institution. The recipient must have financial need. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Resident of Danville, IL, studying Education and/or Liberal Arts, enrolled in a transfer program with plans to transfer to a 4-year institution and maintain a minimum C average. Full-time student. Funds may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Minimum B average; DACC District 507 resident; preference to a student actively involved in extra-curricular activities, athletics or part-time work; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books;

A separate check is presented to the student made payable to the College.  This notice is not an additional award.

Ornamental Horticulture student; Landscape Design and Construction; Funds may be used towards tuition , books and fees

The Cannon Black Brothers Scholarship is established for a full-time student graduating a Vermilion County High School (public or private) and maintaining a B average.  

Student must complete a 500-word essay on one of the four brothers: Joseph G Cannon, William Cannon,  John Charles Black  or William Perkins Black. Independent research is encouraged, including biographical material created by Michael C. Eberhardt and Timothy O. Smith.

Funds can be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Carl and Tonya Hill Scholarship is established for a resident of DACC District 507.  Students must be majoring in Business or Horticulture/Landscaping.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average and may be enrolled full-time or part-time.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Carl M. Houmes Memorial Agriculture Scholarship was established for a student studying Agriculture. Student must reside in the Hoopeston Area School District, be enrolled full-time and have a minimum B average and demonstrate financial need. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Carl M. Houmes Memorial Welding Scholarship was established for a student studying Welding. Student must reside in the Hoopeston Area School District, be enrolled full-time and have a minimum B average and demonstrate financial need. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B average; DACC District 507 resident; Studing health/related fields, including but not limited to, Medical Office Services, Medical Office Personnel, Nurse Assistant, Practical Nursing, Health Adminibistration, Medical Technology, and Nursing; financial need; fund may be used toward tuition, books and fees;

Scholarship is renewable as long as student reapplies for the following academic year and still meets the criteria and funding is available. Limited to 2 consecutive years.

The award is given to students who show leadership promise through active involvement in extra-curricular activities, their place of worship or demonstrated community service or voluntary involvement. Student must be a resident of Vermilion County, IL and must maintain a minimum B GPA.

Studying Liberal Arts; must be full-time; must have financial need; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books;

Graduate of Catlin High School or a graduate of Salt Fork H.S. who is a resident of the former Catlin H.S. district. Special consideration given to academic performance, community enrollment and volunteer service; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Charles "Chuck" B Hooton Memorial Scholarship was established for students studying Graphic Design and Nursing. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books. For the 2023-2024 academic year there will be 8 graphic design scholarships for $500 and 12 Nursing Scholarships for $500

Minimum B average; must be full-time; studying Office Systems, Business, or Information Systems; current DACC student entering their sophomore year; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

A student enrolled in a vocational (trade) program at DACC including the Tractor Trailer course; Preference given to a graduate of any DACC District 507; enrolled in  preference given to a student who is upgrading their skills or retraining; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Cheryl Vergin Memorial Scholarship was established for a student studying the CNA Program. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and other educational related expenses, including but not limited to childcare, transportation cost, etc.

The Chief Scott Weidig Memorial Scholarship was established for students in the following areas of study in order of preference:  Fire Science / EMT, Health Sciences and Criminal Justice.  The scholarship can be used for tuition, books and fees.

Graduate of Oakwood or Armstrong High Schools pursuing an Associate in Applied Science degree or a career certificate. Minimum C average. Student must be full-time.

The Classic Homes Realty scholarship was established for a student studying general studies; Student must maintain a minimum C Average; Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B avg., resident of Vermilion, Iroquois or Edgar County, Studing Accounting; must be full-time: Funds may be used towards tuition, books ans fees

The Coan Teacher Scholarship will be awarded annually to students who have attended Danville Area Community College and are transferring to obtain a 4 year degree to become a certified teacher.  Recipient must have potential for leadership, desire to work with youth and have demonstrated financial need.  The recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).  The amount of the scholarship will be $1,000.00 per student per year and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Recipient must submit proof of registration to the four year institution along with the address check should be mailed to and their student ID number so that a check can be mailed to that institution.

Must be a full-time DACC student.  Must complete the "Freedom Essay".  Recipients selected from essay.  Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

the Colton John Wright Scholarship will be awarded to a student studying Automotive Technology. Student must maintain a minimum B average GPA. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books. 

Minimum B average; preference to a current full-time employee or a dependent of a current employee of Conagra Brands; secondary preference to a graduate of Rossville-Alvin, Hoopeston Area, Bismarck-Henning, or Armstrong Township High Schools; funds may be used towards tuition, books and fees.

The Corvette Cruisers Club of Illinois is established for a student studying Automotive; recipient must maintain a minimum C average.

The amount of each scholarship will be $500 ($250 a semester). funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Student must complete a 500 word essay describing why they want to be in the automotive field; what is there that draws them to this field and what is recipients long term goals for this profession. What type of community service has the recipient been involved in?

Student studying Culinary Arts; funds may be used towards tuition, fees, supplies and books

Minimum B average; entering second year in the DACC Nursing program; qualified applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from DACC instructor and complete an essay detailing career goals and what or who inspired them to choose nursing as a career: funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The D.J. How AG Scholarship is established for students studying Agriculture.  The recipient must maintain a minimum C average and be enrolled full-time.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Minimum 3.0 GPA; returning student who has completed 12 hours of study; enrolled in a degree or certificate program; recipient must be taking at least 6 credit hours. In the case of ties, preference will be given to a relative of a DACC retiree. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Returning DACC student, attend 2 visits with TRIO Academic Advisor and in good academic standing. funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B average; resident of the DACC District 507 and the Indiana seven county area (Warren, Fountain,Vermillion, Benton, Montgomery, Parke, Tippecanoe); female student who is either graduating from DACC or has completed 60 credit hours at DACC and is enrolled at a four year institution; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Recipient must provide proof of registration at four year institution with their student ID number and address where to send scholarship award.

Minimum B average. DACC District #507 or Indiana seven counties resident, involved in volunteer or community activity, accepted into Nursing Program, Radiologic Technology, Echocardiography and Health Information Technology, must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Three scholarships at $1,000 per student per year will be awarded to students accepted into the DACC Nursing program.
Two scholarships at $1,000 per student per year will be awarded to students accepted into:

• First Preference - Radiologic Technology
• Second Preference - Echocardiography
• Third Preference  - Health Information Technology

Minimum B average; first year student (or continuing student that received the scholarship the previous year); enrolled in a pre-engineering transfer program or in a two-year manufacturing or industrial engineering technical program. funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Minimum C average, graduating senior from Danville High School, Schlarman High School or First Baptist School; one award to health/medical related field; one award for any field of study; pursuing an Associate Degree or enrolled in a Transfer Program pursing a Bachelor Degree. Recipient must show financial need. Must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Graduate of a Vermilion County, Illinois high school, studying manufacturing or engineering, must maintain a minimum B average, recipient should demonstrate a history of high academic achievement, an excellent work ethic, a significant and continuing level of community involvement and a financial need in order to further his or her studies. Must be full-time. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Student who has successfully completed DEVE 098 and is enrolled in DEVE 099 or ENGL 121 or a student that has complete ENGL 121 and is enrolled in ENGL 101. Attendance, work ethic and attitude will be taken into consideration. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum C average, preference given to a female student, preference also given to part-time students, must show financial need; Vocational Trades (Automotive Tech, Electronics, HVAC, Industrial Maint., Manufacturing Engineering, Tractor/Trailer, Welding, Wind Tech), Computer Science, Networking or Programming, Agribusiness; funds may be used towards tuition and books

Student must reside in the Hoopeston Area School District, must have an minimum B average; must be full-time; must be accepted into the Nursing Program; must demonstrate financial needs; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

The Doug Maxwell Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student attending DACC.  The amount of the scholarship will be $2,500 per student per year and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Medical related; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

The Dr. Albert J. Cohen & Mrs. Patricia Wonderlin Cohen Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a first year student in one of the following areas of study:  Healthcare, Business & Finance, and/or Community & Social Services.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average.  Funds may be used for tuition, books and fees.

This scholarship is established for:

First preference - Student with dependents
Second preference - Students with demonstrated financial need who are not receiving other scholarships

Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum grade point average of 2.5/4.0. Must be full-time.  Recipient must work a minimum of 15 hrs per week. Preference given to student workers or work study students on campus. Secondary prefrence will be give to students employed off-campus.  Fund may be used for tuition and fees.

The Dr. Ann Wagle RN Scholarship was established for a student accepted into the DACC RN Program with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA. Student must be a full-time Level 2 student. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B average, must be full-time: graduate of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books;

The Dr. Gerald W. Cockrell Scholarship is established for a student that has overcome life obstacles and is looking to make a difference in their life and community.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Dr. Harry D. Lovelass and Mescal Lovelass Scholarship will be awarded to students studying Education (1st preference) or Social Services.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average.  The amount of each scholarship will be $250 per student per year and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Dr. James and Marilyn Tucker Scholarship is established for full-time students in Ag or Pre-vet with financial need.  Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average; Studing History, Social Science or Education: Funds may be used towards tuition, books and fees.

The Dr. Jaya Nelson-Ellington Scholarship was established for a female student in the pre-dental field.  First preference will be given to an African American student.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Dr. Joseph Karinattu Memorial Scholarship was established for students entering the medical field in family practice.  If none, then any medical student will be eligible.  Recipient must maintain a minimum B average.  The scholarhip may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Dr. Stephen and Cindy Nacco Scholarship is established for a Danville Area Community College Student.  Preference given to a student who has not received another scholarship.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees. 

The Dr. Wesley Bieritz Scholarship is established for a resident of DACC District 507 or the Indiana seven county area (Warren, Fountain, Vermillion, Benton, Montgomery, Parke and Tippecanoe).  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The amount of each scholarship will be $500 - $1,500. The amount of the scholarship will be based on the availability of funds.

The Dreher Family Scholarship is established for a resident of Indiana.  Preference may be given to a resident of Vermillion County, Indiana.  A minimum GPA of 2.80 on a 4.0 scale is required.  Enrollment may be either full-time or part-time.  Funds may be used for tuition, books and fees.  The scholarship amount is $350 per student per year.

The Drs. Karl and Carol Jeanne Muster scholarship was established for any student attending DACC. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, and books.

Minimum B average; resident of District 507 or Indiana seven county area (Warren, Fountain, Vermillion, Benton, Montgomery, Parke, Tippecanoe); enrolled in a transfer curriculum; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books; this scholarship is renewable as long as the student reapplies for the next academic year and still meets the criteria and funding is available.

4. Any activities involved with on campus (Freshman may want to share one or two accomplishments/activities from high school and name of high school),
5. What financial challenge does receiving an EAL Scholarship help you to overcome (e.g., decrease the amount of loans, reduces number of hours must work, decrease pressure on parents etc.) and
6. Future plans for a career direction and/or graduate school.

The Echocardiography Scholarship is established for students accepted into the Echocardiography Program at DACC.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

First preference given to a senior gradating from Hoopeston Area HS, second preference given to a graduating senior from Bismarck-Henning HS who attended the Rossville Unit 7 school district. If no candidates meet these criteria, then resident of Vermilion Co. IL ; Minimum B average; must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average; DACC District 507 resident; preference given to students enrolled in an Art curriculum, In the event that DACC discontinues its Art curriculum the candidate would be enrolled in Music curriculum. Preferable candidates should be working toward a certificate, Associates Degree or Baccalaureate. Student must be full-time, funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books;

Any DACC student ; maintain a minimum B average (3.0 on a 4.0 scale); must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Graduate of Danville High School, Hoopeston Area High School or Oakwood High School. Minimum B average pursing a business-related field with plans to transfer to a 4-year institution; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Female student pursuing an Associates Degree, resident of DACC District 507, minimum B average, must be full-time, funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Express Employment Professional Angel Paiz Scholarship was established for a resident of DACC District #507 or the Indiana seven county area (Warren, Fountain, Vermillion, Benton, Montgomery, Parke and Tippecanoe).  The recipient must maintain a minimum C average and may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Consideration of determination, inner motivation, communication skills, and ability to achieve; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

This scholarship is established for a resident of Vermilion, Iroquois, Douglas, Coles, Edgar or Clark County, IL.  Recipient should have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be pursuing an Associate Degree (at a minimum).  Student shall have completed FAFSA and have an estimated family contribution (EFC) of less than $500.00.  Otherwise, financial need should be determined by those recipients who earn below 80% of area median income (or have low to moderate income as determined by Pell Grant eligibility). Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

First preference will be given to students enrolled in Agriculture.  If there are no Ag majors that meet the income requirements and other crieteria listed, then second preference will be given to students enrolled in a Business major who meet all the other requirements including income level

High school graduate or equivalent; pursuing a degree or certificate program at DACC; annual gross family income that does not exceed 80% of the prevailing median income in Vermilion County; resident of Vermilion County for at least one year (First Midwest Bank families are excluded); Funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books and course-related supplies

Resident of Vermilion County, IL and minimum C average. Students must have completed FAFSA and have an estimated family contribution (EFC) of less than $500.00. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

The Frank and Lynn Brunacci Scholarship is established for students as follows: 
 

• First preference will be given to a student who currently has or has overcome a diagnosed physical/mental disability. 
• Second preference will be given to students who currently work with persons with disabilities in either a Day/Vocational Program or in a residential Group Home setting.
• Third preference will be given to a student enrolled in the College's Criminal Justice Program.  

This scholarship is established for a resident of Vermilion County, Illinois.  The recipient must maintain a minimum of a C average.  The scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books and fees.

First preference given to a graduate of Schlarman High School; second preference given to any student that has attended Schlarman Academy; third preference to any graduate of the 507 District.  Recipient may be enrolled either full-time or part-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

This scholarship will be selected by the Friends Church of Georgetown, IL utilizing criteria that they have established.

The Friends of Healthcare Scholarship will be awarded annually to students pursuing a degree in a healthcare related field.

Resident of DACC District 507, maintain a minimum C GPA, must have completed FAFSA and have an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of less than $1,000. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Gary Estes Memorial Scholarship is established for a member of the DACC Golf Team.  Awardees will be determined based on the results of a pre-season tournament.  Receipient must be a resident of DACC Distric 507, be enrolled full-time with a minimum B average.  The scholarship is available for tuition, books and fees.

 

Current or incoming DACC student in a CNC Technologist training or CNC machining-based engineering program at the postsecondary level; funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books, small tools(the student is required to purchase)

The George Langevin vocational Scholarship was established for a  resident of the United States and will be awarded annually to a student studying a vocational trade as follows.

The Georgetown Lions Club Scholarship is established for a graduating senior from Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School.  Recipient must maintain a minimum C average and be enrolled full-time.  Preference will be given to students who have completed volunteer/community service in the last year.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Ginko biloba Scholarship was established for a student in any area of study. The recipient must maintain a minimum C average. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Preference given to a student entering their second year; demonstrates a willingness to pursue a college education despite obstacles placed in their way; studying Early Childhood Education; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average; must be full-time; first-year DACC student from Schlarman High School; student must be studying education and transferring to a 4 year collage after graduating DACC;  financial need; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average. Resident of Vermilion County, Illinois or the Indiana Counties of Vermillion, Warren and Fountain; studying Healthcare, education, Liberal Arts, Horticulture, Business, Engineering, Technology, Criminal Justice; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Student graduating from Oakwood, Bismarck and Milford High School or attended a Rossville Unit 7 school. Minimum B average; must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Minimum C average. Must not have been on academic probation. Special consideration given to students who have overcome physical/mental disabilities or other hardships. Preference given to a student actively involved in extra-curricular activities, community service/volunteer work.

First consideration will be given to returning students as long as the student reapplies for the next academic year and has maintained their academic standing.

The Harlan Smith Memorial Scholarship was established with a gift from his estate.  The scholarship is for any DACC student and is available for tuition, fees and books.

The Harold "Boo" and Ginny Auter was established for a deserving DACC student.

The Harold " Boo" and Ginny Auter Scholarship will cover the fall and spring semesters. Student must be full time. This scholarship will cover tuition, fees, books and  required supplies for class. The dollar amount shown is only an estimate. 

The Harold and Emily Jean Hull Scholarship has been established for a student transferring to the University of Illinois. Scholarship will be awarded annually to students studying Education, Library Sciences, Business or Finance. Student must maintain a B average. Student may be full-time or part-time.

Minimum C average, preference given to a female student, preference also given to part-time students, must show financial need; Studying Vocational Trades(Automotive Tech, Electronics, HVAC, Industrial Maint., Manufacturing Engineering, Tractor/Trailer. Welding, Wind Tech), Computer Science, Networking or Programing, Agribusiness.; Funds may be used towards Tuition and fees

This scholarship is established for a student attending Danville Area Community College studying Arts or Graphic Art.  The recipient may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The amount of each scholarship will be no less than $400.00 and no more than $600.00 per student per year and may be used for tuition, books, fees and  course related supplies.  The amount will vary based on availability of funds.  

For 2nd year Health Information Technology students. Completion of BIOL 136, Anatomy and Physiology I with a passing grade of C or better, registered in HITT courses; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Resident of Vermilion County IL, Veteran or a dependent of a Veteran and minimum 2.5 GPA; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

This scholarship was established for any mom, 25 years of age and younger.  Recipient must complete a short essay in the application stating how becoming a mom has positively changed them, their goals, and how this scholarship will help them achieve that goal.

Recipient must maintain a minimum of a B average.  The recipient may be enrolled as either a full-time or part-time student.

The Hoopeston Higher Learning Center Scholarship was established for a student that has attended the Hoopeston Higher Learning Center as a College Express student or dual enrollment student and plans to continue their education at Danville Area Community College. Recipient must maintain a B average. Funds can be used for tuition, fees and books.

This scholarship is established for a Heritage-Hoopeston employees who have been accepted into a medical related program at DACC. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books and any other cost associated with the course at DACC.

Students majoring in a Horticulture program. Maintain a minimum C average; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books .

This scholarship will be awarded to a student that resides in the DACC District 507 and the following Indiana Counties: Benton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, Vermilion or Warren; Student must be studying Agriculture and maintain a minimum C average; Student may be full or part-time; Funds may be used toward tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B average (3.0 out of 4.0); studying Civil Engineering; must be full-time; having completed a minimum of 12 credit hours. Preference given to students residing in Champaign, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, McLean, Piatt and Vermilion County, Illinois; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Minimum B average; graduating senior from any Vermilion County, IL School; must be full-time; funds may be used for tuition, fees and books

Student in Automotive Sciences program with minimum B average; must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books. Also includes 1 year club membership with the Illiana Antique Auto Club. Student will be making a living in the Auto mechanics field.

Resident of Illinois, enrolled in healthcare program that provides direct medical care to individuals, committed to practicing in Illinois, demonstrated financial need (including middle income) and demonstrated desire to complete a health career program

Health-related field, show evidence of sufficient ability to succeed in the program selected, show evidence of financial need

 

Resident of DACC District 507, enrollment in Manufacturing related course of study, maintain 2.0 / 4.0 GPA. Preference given to students with voluntary community service or extra-curricular activity.; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books, equipment, child care and transportation

Resident of Vermilion or Iroquois County for at least one year prior to applying for scholarship; high school graduate or equivalent; show financial need; use the awarded scholarship in the upcoming year; enrolled in a degree or certificate program-preference given to a bank-related field of study: Finance, Accounting, Math, Marketing, Office Systems, Customer Service or Pre-Law. Iroquois Federal families not eligible; applicant must have an annual gross family income that does not exceed 80% of the prevailing median income in their county of residence; funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books and course related supplies.

The Jean Haun Memorial Scholarship is established for a resident of Vermilion County, IL to a student majoring in Early Childhood Education or Teaching.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average and may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Non-traditional student with minimum B average and financial need; funds may be used towards tuition, books and fees

The Jerome D. "Jerry" Brown Scholarship was established for students enrolled in Criminal Justice program with demonstated financial need.  Preference given to personal accomplishments and academic status is to be considered.  The Scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Resident of Vermilion County, IL, students who are studying nursing or have been accepted into a healthcare program utilizing an application, review and acceptance process including but not limited to: Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Echocardiography and Sonography, minimum 2.5 GPA, must be full-time, funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

The amount of each scholarship will be no less than $500 and no more than $3,000 per student per year depending on availability of funds.

The John L. and Bessie M. Hare Memorial Scholarship was established for a resident of Danville, IL. The scholarship will be awarded annually to an older adult female student. The student must maintain a minimum C average. The funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Preference given to students from the Rossville, Illinois area (Unit 7 District) studying agriculture or art; if no students from the Rossville area, then it should be awarded to students from Bismarck or Hoopeston H.S. studying agriculture or art.  If there are not enough applicants studying agriculture or art, residents of the Rossville, Alvin, Bismarck and Hoopeston areas will be considered.  Funds may be used towards tuition, books and fees

The Judy K. Turner Memorial Scholarship was established for a resedent of Vermilion County, IL. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a student pursuing a teaching degree in english (first prefrence) or pursuing a teaching degree in any curriculum (second prefence); The recipient must maintain a minimum B average; Funds will be added to the recipients DACC account to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Minimum B average; must be enrolled full-time; DACC District 507 resident; studying Allied health Professions; must show financial need and enrolled in a transfer curriculum.  Students enrolled in the pre-professional programs of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine are not eligible.  Funds may be used for tuition only. 



 

The Karol Sue Shoemate Scholarship is established for a resident of Illinois majoring in Writing, English, Visual Arts or Humanities.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Keith and Nancy Dalenberg Scholarship is awarded annually to one student pursuing a degree in Agriculture and to one student pursuing a degree in Education.  Each scholarship will be $500.00 per year and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Attended DACC, graduating in Spring and transferring to obtain a 4 year degree; potential for leadership; good citizenship; loyal to American ideals; desire to succeed; considerate; demonstrates ability to get along with others; financial need.

The Larry F. Turner Scholarship is established for Veterans of Vermilion County, IL.  Recipients must maintain a minimum B average and be pursuing an Associate Degree.  The scholarship is available for both part-time and full-time students and may be used for tuition, books and fees. 

The Laura K. Girton "Believe It and Achieve It" Scholarship is established for a graduating senior from Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School and Oakwood High School.  Two scholarships will be awarded each year; one to a student from Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative School and one from Oakwood High School.  The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

This scholarship is established for a student from Salt Fork, Georgetown or Middle College; Student in general studies; student must be full-time and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0; funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The scholarship is renewable as long as the student reapplies for the next academic year and still meets the criteria. Limited to 3 consecutive years or six semesters.

Scholarship will be awarded a student of DACC who has completed 2 years of full-time credit hours and is transferring to an institution of higher education in pursuit of a four-year degree. Area of study Veterinary Science, Conservation, Natural Resources, Biology, and /or Agricultural Studies.

The recipient must provide proof of enrollment, their student ID number and the address of where the check is to be sent at the four-year institution they are transferring to before a check can be mailed to the institution.

Minimum 2.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 3.25 on a 5.0 scale, resident of DACC District 507, preference given to students pursuing degree (Associate or Bachelor) in Office Systems, Agri-Business or Agriculture, must have completed at least one semester at DACC (min. of 12 hours), special consideration will be given to candidates that are not receiving federal financial aid (Pell) during the sememster that awards are determined, financial need is a consideration, recipient must be employeed either full or part-time; funds may be used towards tuition,fees and books.

Graduating DACC students transferring to a four year institution must provide proof of registration before the scholarship will be paid to that institution on their behalf.

 

Resident of DACC District #507 with preference given to a resident of the Bismarck area,  a single mother with dependents, preference given to a student who is either starting college or returning to college, a student that has over come obsticals. Prefer no current high school graduate and minimum C average; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Mark and Carl Van Doren Scholarship is established for a Schlarman high school graduate.

1st preference - incoming freshman with highest GPA
2nd preference - any Schlarman graduate with the highest GPA.

Recipient must be willing to view the documentary on Mark Van Doren titled "Portrait of A Poet" and Carl Van Doren's short book "An Illinois Boyhood"

The Marron Family Farms Scholarship is established for a resident of District 507 studying Agriculture.  The recipient must have and maintain a B average.  Funds may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Minimum B avg.; must be full-time; graduate of Danville HS, First Baptist HS, Danville Christian Academy, Schlarman Academy, Bismarck-Henning HS and Westville HS; must be employed a min. of 15 hrs per week; special consideration given to employees of Burger King; must have completed at least 12 credit hours of college work; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Mildred Langevin Nursing Scholarship was established for a resident of the United States and will be awarded annually to a student studying Nursing. Student must be accepted into the Nursing Program. The student must maintain a B average, and not qualify for any type of aid or financial help. The funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Mimi Reitemeier Scholarship for The Preforming Arts was established for a resident of DACC District #507. Recipient must be studying Performing Arts and maintain a B average. Recipient may be full or part-time. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Minority Scholarship was established for a minority student.  The recipient must be enrolled full-time and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.  Funds may only be used for tuition.

This scholarship is awarded for four consecutive semesters (fall and spring) as long as the student still meets the criteria.

The Minority Scholarship pays for full tuition for four semesters.  The dollar amount shown is an estimate for one year only.
 
Student must reapply for the next academic year to qualify for the second year of the scholarship.

The Molly A. Nicholson Excellence in Nursing Scholarship is established for a resident of District 507 or seven county Indiana area.  The recipient must be accepted into the DACC Nursing Program and possess a desire to succeed and a heart of gold.  The recipient be enrolled full-time and maintain a minimum B average.  The amount of the scholarship will vary based on availability of funds and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Rickey and Laura Williams Scholarship has been established for a resident of Vermilion County, IL  with either a GED or high school diploma pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books.

Medically-related field; graduate of any high school in Danville, IL(Danville High, Schlarman Academy, First Baptist and Danville Christian academy); studying the medical field; demonstrate financial need; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

Graduate of Rossville-Alvin grade school district, full- or part-time with special consideration given to full-time students, special consideration given to academic performance, community involvement and volunteer service; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Russel Leigh & Associates Scholarship is established for a student studying Accounting.  The recipient must maintain a minimum B average and may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The amount of each scholarship will be $1,000.00 and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Ryleigh Parker Arnett Scholarship was established for a student studying culinary arts. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and books.

The Sara Snyder Culinary Arts Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student studying Culinary Arts.  The amount of the scholarship is $500.00 and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

This scholarship is established for a student who has shown perseverance and a passion to succeed in the face of adversity.  This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has overcome obstacles in their life through grit and determination.  These obstacles could be physical, financial or familial in nature.

Recipient must maintain a minimum B average.  Full-time or part-time enrollment.

Scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books or childcare at the DACC Child Development Center.

The Sentry Roofing, Inc. Scholarship will be awarded to students studying Vocational Trades (1st preference) or General Studies.  Recipients must demonstrate financial need and a desire to succeed.  Recipients must maintain a minimum B average and be enrolled full-time.  Five scholarships will be awarded at $1,000.00 per student per year and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Service Above Self - The Danville Rotary Club is established for two graduating seniors form Danville High School. The recipients must be involved in community service, High School extra-curricular activity and be in the upper half of their class.

Each scholarship will be $1,000 per student per year and may be used for tuition, fees and books.

Preference will be given to a student who is the dependent or family member of a law enforcement officer, a current member of the Danville Rifle and Pistol Club or their dependents. A dependent or family member is defined as a spouse, son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, grandchild, step-grandchild or legal ward. A law enforcement officer is defined as someone that is a commissioned police officer or has “arresting powers”. If there are no applicants that meet these criteria, then all other applicants that meet the remaining criteria will be considered.; must be full-time; funds may be used towards tuition, fees and books

The Dick and Sally McFarland Endowment Fund of First Presbyterian Church is established for residents who reside within the boundaries of the Hoopeston Area School District.  The recipient must maintain a minimum C grade point average; be 23 years old or younger at the beginning of the school year and not qualify for need-based financial aid.

The Scholarship is available for tuition, books and fees.

The Flemish Connection Fund Scholarship was established for a Adult returning to college. First preference must be a resident of Indian or a recent immigrant desiring to assimilate in his/her new culture through education. Second preference any adult returning to college and pursuing a high education. Recipient must maintain a B average. Funds will be used towards tuition, fees and books.

The Gene and Betty Carlton Scholarship is established for students studying Welding, Culinary and Music. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

The Gifford State Bank Scholarship is established for a student of Armstrong Township High School.  If there are no applicants from Armstrong Township High School, the scholarship may be awarded to students of any other Vermilion County High School.  The recipent may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The amount of the scholarship is $500.00 and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

The Heartland Properties Group, LLC Scholarship is established for students attending Danville Area Community College.  The recipient may be enrolled either full-time or part-time.  The amount of each scholarship will vary based on availability of funds and may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Minimum B average; full-time student studing Humanities, Liberal Arts and/or Creative writing: Funds may be used towards tuition, books, fees, creative, educational and skill-building activites.  Each scholarship will be $500.

The Turfgrass Alumni and Friends Scholarship criteris is as follows:
-Recipient will be enrolled in Landscape Horticulture with preference given to a student focusing on Golf Course Management,
-Recipient will be a full-time returning DACC student with a minimum of a B average.  Male and female candidates are equally eligible,
-Recipient will show some effort toward all-round performane, (i.e., extra-curricular activities, athletics or part-time work),
-Recipient will be selected from a pool of applicants currently enrolled in Landscape Horticulture.

Sophomore status during year of award with at least a B average; must be full-time; DACC District 507 resident; financial need; intending to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Social Sciences with emphasis on American History; Funds may be used towards tuition, fees, books and other related expenses

Minimum B average, employee of McDonald's located in Vermilion County, IL or any McDonalds owned by the Witzel Family; funds may be used towards books.

Also, as an employee of McDonald's you may apply on-line at Archways to Opportunity for additional funds. McDonald employee's are eligible for $2,500 as a crew member and $3,000 for managers. 

The Women's Care Clinic Scholarship is established to assist Bridges Program participants.  First preference is to help participants needing assistance paying GED testing fees.  If testing fees are being paid by other sources, the scholarship will be awarded to students who have completed their GED certificate and are continuing their education at DACC.  Preference will be given to students that graduated from the Bridges Program or whose parent graduated from the Bridges Program.

The scholarship will pay for GED testing fees.  If testing fees are otherwise funded, the scholarship will pay for tuition, books and fees.
